PM Search not working at all

Searching PM's seems to have been down for about a day now, maybe more - I only just tried to do a few searches. For example, I have the word "pending" in several PM's of mine. A search for that word, or ANY word for that matter, turns up no results.

And I just searched for any reposts on the subject - but that function is broken too. However, the PM Search function has been nonfunctional longer than that. I just never thought to post about it in Forum Issues until now.

Another search question - what are the Start/end dates supposed to do? I thought that they were there to search for posts someone made or that were made about something during a specific time frame, but that doesn't work. Am I misunderstanding the function or does it not work?

example:

search phrase: Staples
Search what: Title or body
display results as: topics
author: allisolm
Which messages: current
forum: hot deals

Filtering
Start date 08/01/2004 end date 8/31/04

results show threads from 6/30/2004 - 9/23/2004
