I'm looking to buy a Canon Powershot S30 digital camer, but the best deal i found online is $420 shipped. I feel like i'd be able to find a better deal. Does anyone know any? Also, who does online pricematching besides Staples?
 
that is probably the best deal you're going to find.
sites like pricegrabber.com, shopper.com, or mysimon.com seem to show prices of 410 + shipping.

and i've also been in the market for the s30 and 420 is the lowest i've seen. keep in mind, the shops selling them for the lowest price are usually the shadyess ones. seriously, i've had nothing but trouble with them. (don't make me start ranting . . . i could go on) basically they won't sell to you unless you pay $$$$ for extras. they'll lie and deceive you. so the best alternative is to pricematch with an american express blue card. (you'll find tons of information about this card online) as far as i know, most BM stores will not pricematch online retailers either . . . which is another benefit of the blue card.

Got it a month ago when the $399 was a great deal and I am very pleased with it. A little fat and on heavy side but good quality, solid built and great reviewes on dpreview.com. And the sliding lens cover is great. Please remember you will want to buy more storage - 16MB is grossly insufficient. If you shop well you will get 256MB for well under $100. You will likely also want the carying case - to my surprise best price was from Canon directly - $21 delivered while other charge over $21 and then shipping. You may also want to buy a spare battery. I absolutely could not find any cheap alterntatives so the battery cost me over $40.

Try to get a pricematch from a store which does 110% or 115% match. A questionable way of getting your pricemach AND your coupon is to buy 2 items making sure that the second one can on its own carry the rebate. Then you return the second item and keep the coupon.
