I downloaded Steam counter-strike: condition zero and played it, and everything seemed to be ok except the poor graphics quality.

So then I raised my video setting and restarted the game and nothing appeared but a blackscreen.

btw, I suspect that one thing I did wrong was to have run the game given that a pop-up windows alerted me about my video setting. It says video mode NOT supported, and the game will play in software mode.....

so that's why the graphics were poor.

So if any of you guys out there have experienced this before, please help me out

Can you describe what hadware you have? Do you have the latest drivers and directX? All motherboard drivers installed?
