Plz help a noob out - I can't share anything **FIXED**

I have read the Guides and Faqs at Ananatech on everything networking and file sharing. I have read everything about it over at practically networking and elsewhere.

I followed the guides and how to's to the letter. I have a linksys and everything is fine I can browse the web, I have a tcp/ip connection and I can ping both computers and so on that's not the problem.

The problem is no matter what I do I can't seem to share a folder or anything. When I goto my network places and computers near me it says that I'm in workgroup but I can't see anything. I've created accounts on both and so on and tried everything. Why or how can I see my shares ? any suggestions.

Is the workgroup set the same on both computers?

It has to be the same name or else no go.

Yes workgroup name is the same on both. both have sp3 and every possible windows update.

Well I found what it was after a good night sleep. Originally when I installed my dsl/calble I had to disable the netbios over tcp/ip in wins. But when you install the Linksys router the router now acts as your own dhcp server, (and since I don't have access to a dns server) you now have to enable the 'use netbios setting from the dhcp server' to be able to see other computers on your own lan.
