I own a pentium 3 800EBMhz wiht a 128sdram and Rive tnt [32] agp
and i'm useing Win98 SE Do you Recommend me to change the os to a win2k ?? Because I'm Hearing A lot of bad things about win 2k and i'm mainly gona use for games and surfing which do you recommend....
If you recommend win 2k why ??

If you are going to use it to do a bit of heavy gaming then I suggest that you stick with W98SE as you are pretty much limited with your 128mb ram under W2K gaming. Personally I don't play games that much anymore so I can't give you much first hand experience with gaming under W2K. But what I can say is that it is a much more stable OS than what 98 is. Meaning you don't get BSODs and memory leaks as often as 98.

If you want the best of both worlds just dual boot!

tongue: why dont you just dual boot and find out for yourself, either way if you have a big enough hd you can just have win2k to "mess around with it" if you dont like it, you can always go back to win98se. as for me i love win2k but i dont game much.

I'm a heavy gamer myself...and I'll end up going back to Win'98 for that reason. Dual-boot is a good option since it'll get you playing with Win2k.
