I recently purchased a nice set of headphones for my computer and I wanted to know how I could get them to work with my TV... there is no thing in the back of my TV designed specifically for headphones, so I was wondering what like little device or adapter I could buy to make it so I could plug my headphones into my TV (having the sound come through them...)
so does anyone have any advice or product reccomendations for me? thanks!
ps: i hope this is the correct forum section!

Well if your TV does not have a fixed audio output then you will have to go a more complicated route (such as using a VCR).

Most decent modern TVs have fixed audio outputs though.

Yeah, if there's a place labeled "audio out" that would be the route to take. If your headphones have the smaller size connection that's more common with computer equipment, you'd want something like this http://www.cablesforless.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1920

If the headphone connector is the larger kind, then get a 1/4" female end.
