"Plugged in, not charging"

I've got an HP Probook 4320s. The problem is that even when I have the AC plugged in, the batteries don't charge. So I'm currently at 95% charge (I was at 97 when I first noticed this problem), and I haven't found a fix.

I've followed the instructions here and here; no luck. I've also done the uninstall/reinstall of the ACPI-compliant control method battery, no luck either. I suspect that it's something wrong with the battery or the power cord, but I don't have spare components of either to check this. I also don't want to send this off to HP, since I really need this laptop (I needed it enough to buy it, after all), unless I absolutely have to. What I'd really like is a fix for this problem, preferably without spending any money. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Does the laptop work with just the adapter plugged in and the battery removed?
Also sometimes laptops will not charge until a certain threshold of battery is reached.

Yeah, I got the solution from another forum. I got it down to 60% unplugged, and as soon as I plugged it in it started charging.

Emulex is correct. The battery does not charge on my T60 until the battery level falls below about 95%. Then it resumes. Do a detailed battery check and after a year or two, you will find that the indicated percentage points to continuously lower capacity as the battery ages.

This is why many experts recommend removing the battery completely if you are operating long term on A/C. The battery should then be stored at about 45-50% charged.
