Plugged in Flashdrive and PC shutdown!

Anyone any idea why this would happen? I plug the drive in all the time and its never shutdown - whats worse is that now PC doesnt boot - power comes on but no HDD activity and no monitor

Any ideas?

Is the USB socket wired properly? Do you use the same USB socket all the time? A coincidence?

Any BIOS beep? Could be the motherboard or the power supply.

Once my friend had the same problem, he was forced to change the drive.
Also there ere may be a virus. Test your pc and flash drive with antivirus.
