Good night,
Any help appreciated in, understanding how to know this: How many calculations, i.e, add operations can my CPU process in a certain period of time???

For almost any CPU there are different instructions taking different amounts of time.

If you have any kind of modern CPU then that varies a lot even for the same instructions depending on sequence and placement.
 
My PC is as follows:
- AMd A64 3500+
- Corsair ValueSelect 1Gig Ram (2x512)
- MoBo; MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
- HD: Hitachi Desktar 7200 RPM, 160 GB

I think this info should help, what I am looking for is how many MIPS can this syste pull,

Around 11,000 MIPS. Give or take dependant upon your mem timings, fsb, and any cpu oc'ing. Try SiSoft Sandra 2005 and run ALU bench. You will know exactly then.
