pls. help me in dreamweaver 3

i making a web page but i got this software from my freind who brought it from the computer show and now he wants me to have it so i want to know is; how do i make the background stay-put while i scroll up and down? AND how do i make the fading out in going to the sec. page and so on? any guildance will surely appreciated. thank you

Go to the Macromedia site and look in the support section for DW and DL the tutorial. It's a great place to start.
