Riddle me this...let's say you're a terrorist trying to blow up planes in the US. You recognize that security in the US is pretty tight so you want to get on an international flight and come into the country that way. Why the F would start your flight in the UK? It seems to me like they would have been much better off flying in from Mexico, Jamaica or something like that.
You are in no position to dictate the terms of the debate, so stop trying 😉 You also are attaching a particular statement to my comments that I never made. What I said is in no way misinformation since I did not specify the exact nature of the material, Mr. thin skinned. If you are demanding I cite passages with some very radical content, I'll just refer you to the handy search feature for the forums, as I don't do secretarial work or respond well to demands 🙂

There is more info & credibility to this action than there has been to ALL the 'terrorism has been thwarted" garbage that has come out of the US in the past 3 years.

You're right, obviously, the problem is that while both Christianity and Judism as well as other religions, have scholarly advanced beyond the point of violence - i.e. no one calls for crusades for many thousand years now - and accepted their role to accompany the modern way of life, and not replace it, Islam is now just beginning the process, which took many hundreds of years.
Until you'll see the heads of Islam accepting the existance of other religions and calling for peace, freedom and democracy, it can't be treated in the same way other religions are.
I wonder how long will it take before the entire world starts double checking Arabs on flights like Israel have been doing for years (and receiving complaints about it). Seems like it could spare hundreds, if not thousand of lives.
1970's Popular Mechanics had plans for three different A-bombs. One was a simple tube design. There is enough missing nuclear material in the USA to build 30 to 50 medium bombs. Which Taliban country are you going to choose. Pakistan or Saudi Arabia? Both are our supposed allies?

Simple parallels for simple minds I suppose...so here's an easy one for you to chew upon: the actual methods of violence matter little when people are doing it in the name of religion. Savvy? The christian zealot willing to murder for his cause is the same kind of @sshole as a rat poison-ladden muslim time-bomb willing to kill for his. Does the occurance of suicide in one example really make it that difficult to understand? 😕
As a worker at London's Heathrow Airport, today has been quite challenging.
Security is extremely tight and unfortuantely this has had a major impact on the travel plans of everyone flying into and out of the UK.
It's good that the plot was foiled by the authorities but unfortunately the authorities have little regard it seems to business and the impact their actions have on those law abiding citizens trying to get on with their lives.
Surely a more measured response, rather than the sudden step change in security policy would have been just as effective. And also I fail to see what security implication my sandwiches for lunch had on the wellbeing of the United Kingdom!

When they wage war upon us, we MUST wage war upon them else we permit them to have their way with us. They will not change their ideology until the violence they start is returned to them ten fold and ruins them.
It is preached on their TV, taught in their schools, they are told it is god?s will. Those striving to kill us are not something you?re going to appease away. They see compromise as weakness, as opportunity to make things worse. Israel pulled out of Lebanon in 2000, Hezbollah moved back in to prepare and start the current war.
Such a foolish notions as ?Peace for our time ? while in the middle of a buildup to a greater war is only going to serve their interests. The more time they are allowed, they more effective methods of slaughtering us they will devise.
With North Korea, we showed the Islamic world that we are blackmailed by mere nuclear technology. Now they are on the verge of doing the same, only the notion of mutual assured destruction is perfectly fine with Islamic Fascists.
So we here have choices to make. We can burry our heads in the sand, ?It?s not our problem?, somehow imagining borders protect us from an ideology when we in fact do not have borders. We can play to their interests and make a little temporary peace before we die, or we can recognize the treat.
Perhaps we first need to recognize that we aren?t the sole evil who needs to be defeated. We hear a lot in P&N how it?s all us doing wrongs to the world. From those same people we only hear laughing and mockery of events when we are threatened. Heck, more over we still hear from the greatest loons that it still remains all our doing ? the inside job through and through.
