Plot hole: There is no such thing as ESP or telling of the future.

Yeah, that's definitely a 'plot hole' in a 'FICTIONAL' movie. Beware Hollywood, Amused has caught onto your use of fiction!

Where do you think plot holes exist? In non-fiction? 😕

He didn't fake it. It happened exactly as shown in the prevision, if I remember correctly, except it was a suicide, not really a murder, but it's still a purposeful death.

right...but it WOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED had Cruise not seen that prevision.......thats my point
That is different from it being fake.

right, but I still have no explaination on how the prevision was "created" because cruise would not have killed Crowe had he not seen that prevision....its a paradox in that you cant have B without A...but A cannot exist without B

Cruise was supposed to kill Crowe after seeing the prevision...

I understand that....but had he not seen the prevision...he wouldnt have even thought to kill Crowe.....

The future was set...he was supposed to see the prevision. The precogs knew that (it was the future) so they saw him killing Crowe (after seeing the prevision).

ESP was part of the framework of the universe that existed in the movie Minority Report. Calling that a plot hole is like saying Hobbits existing in the Lord of the Rings is a plot hole because Hobbits don't really exist. Wow, what a revelation!

Gotcha. I didn't read his original post; my mistake.

But the problem is how could Lamar have set the future in the first place? For him to do that, he would have to have known that Tom Cruise would have escaped the police, not be caught, and end up in that apartment. Hiring Crow to scatter pictures around his bed wouldn't set anything, much less cause Tom Cruise to come and kill him. In other words, there is no way Lamar could have planned what happened.

That's where the plot hole comes in.
