Plot hole in Minority Report?

I finnaly re-watched Minority Report with a close eye...and have come to the question....how in the hell did Lamar Burgess fake the prevision of Tom Cruise killing Leo Crow? Granted cruise DID kill him.....but he would have never known had there not been a prevision....and I thought we were told previsions were impossible to fake.....so how did that prevision come about? Anyone care to explain??

He didn't fake it. It happened exactly as shown in the prevision, if I remember correctly, except it was a suicide, not really a murder, but it's still a purposeful death.

Its the same way John Conner would not have been born if he hadn't sent his father from the future back to protect his mother (in Terminator 1). You just need to let it go.

right, but I still have no explaination on how the prevision was "created" because cruise would not have killed Crowe had he not seen that prevision....its a paradox in that you cant have B without A...but A cannot exist without B

It's kind of a paradox, but that is irrelevant. Crime rates wouldn't have gone down had it not been for the precogs, but that doesn't mean they predict things that would have happened if they didn't exist.

Cruise was supposed to kill Crowe after seeing the prevision...

Crow's family was going to be given compensation for being killed. So the old guy (can't remember his name) that was framing Cruise was going to lead him to Crow one way or another. That's why the pre-cogs saw the vision.

Uh, don't forget precogs also have conflicts. Agatha is just the master one of them all, so it's possible the one that was registered was visioned by the guys... and Agatha saw the real one (the one that acutally happened after the "time to die").
