Plextor PX-712SA Crashes my PC

Plugged this burner into the nvidia sata connector 3. I have my raptors connected to sata 1 and 2 as a raid setup. Dont know what the problem is but when I place a dvd or any media into the burner and try to play it it would crash. Same thing happens when I load nero and try to burn something, it would read the disc for 1 second then crash my pc. any help would be great.

Have you got the sony pegged as the default burner?

Sometimes, some systems prefer only one burner to be nominated as a burner. Especially with Nero -(so i hear)

hi Yogi, best check google and see. Maybe it is a one off, or one peripheral that it doesn't like. who knows?

I don't see yours listed. A PCI card to connect the SATA may be an option to consider.
