Hi,

I will receive my M5P 512GB next 19th :)
I saw at plextor's website that there is a new firmware for it (I'm assuming mine will come with v1.0).
I've already downloaded the zip file!
But it seems it must have an ISO file somewere and I can't find it!
(from plextor's web site "

Download the latest firmware and copy the file (*.iso) onto a disc. ").

The unzipping of the file gives me a folder (not a file...) named "isolinux"!
Is this the folder I should copy to the CD?

Please help

Yes, I saw that before!
But try download it and you will find that it is a zip file!
So, it is that zip file that I should burn in a CD or the unziped folder named isolinux that I should burn?

I'm using IE9 and download as m5p_512gn...type of file "WinZip File (.iso)".

Is this the same?

Yes, I'm using Chrome and it downloads as .iso for me. It never turns into a zip file for me. Either use a program like Yumi to create a USB startup disk (thumbdrive) or burn it to DVD with the appropriate program.

Just change the file extension to ISO.
Or this, though you may have to uncheck "hide extensions for unknown file types" under folder options.

Problem solved! It was a WinZip definition that was showing the file as a zip when it was not!!!
