Plextor 16X/10/40a Question

Hey all,

Just got it in the mail today, and have been trying to install. Problem is when I install it on the same IDE cable as my hard drive, my bios refuses to detect my hard drive, and simply uses the Plextor as my primary master. PLEASE HELP.

Move the hard drive to the other ide channel..

I tried both channels on the motherboard, and get the same result.

did you set your jumper on your cdrw?

its most likely your jumper, set it on slave, pictures should be on the drive on how to do that

I am a doofus. Jumpers werent set properly.

I was so excited to get my first CDRW that all I wanted to do was plug it in.
