Plextor 16/10/40 or TDK veloCD 16/10/40?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I am buying a new drive and need some help. Which should I choose (Plextor 16/10/40 or TDK veloCD 16/10/40)? Both are high quality (TDK is a bit sexier) and costs are reducing due to the introduction of 24x drives. Any help is appreciated.

Isn't the TDK a rebadged Plextor? I think it can even be flashed to a Plextor.

not quite all plextor drive some of them are sanyo drive too. so just depend how luck you are😉

I'm pretty sure the velocd's are rebadged plextors and cyclones are sanyos. I could be wrong though, I am a lot.

Go with the Plextor...

They are both great drives...so go with the best price or best deal...look at what software they bundle with it if it is a retail box...
