This will probably get locked, but I tell you what I have found.

I am in California, so even with the $30 off $150 coupon at buy.com I get charged tax. The total price for me is around 245-250, close to that.

The cheapest so far seems to be Onvia. No shipping over $50. There is a $25 off $200 coupon floating around out there that brings the price to $239.99 shipped to my house.

Now on both Buy.com and Onvia.com have 5% on pointclick, so you save a little there too.

Good luck, and let me know if you get a real good deal somewhere.

the best burners are scsi...they dont have that burn proof.but they dont need it

Plextor has a 12/4/32 scsi drive too, but it is around 330 or higher. From what I have read and talked to actual owners, the plextor ide kick major a$$ :)

Plextor IDE drives do kick ass. But that means their SCSI drive would kick that much MORE ass! SCSI is just a better performer than IDE at any speed/make.

Ah, but current IDE CD-RW drives are so fast and reliable that the difference is pretty much unnoticeable :D
