Plexiglass Case mods--Any ideas?

I have an Enlight 7237 and I was thinking that it would look hella tight if I either replaced the slider with a framed plexiglass one on the left side, and the maybe lined it with some black light tubes or perhaps even reflective tape on the fans. (Like a disco in my case...lol) I am aware the lights may cause extra heat, so I'm reluctant on that, but if anybody has good ideas or links to some nice case mods, especially transparent ones, lmk. Thanks!!

hey check out my crappy website at page I did this the previous summer. Just put some fans to suck out the hot air if you're worried about extra heat. Have fun and don't lose any fingers

None of the neon light put out enough heat to make any difference. Neither do the EL strips

I think I've decided that I want to paint the case a deep blue, over two strips of masking tape going from the top down the front (so as to create parallel white stripes) and then do a sillouette cutout of a poised viper on the side panel and mount acrylic, then border it with neon lights. Sound cool?

Ya sounds cool. I don't know exactly what kind of effect your going for but 1 neon light at the bottom of the case will light up the cutout etc. Now if you want to border the cutout then your gonna have to use the EL strips from neoncasemods.com

Cool, cool....I finally decided what I want to do. I'm going with the paint job, although I'd appreciate any advice on what kind of paint to use on an Enlight, spray, auto, gloss,...??? I am doing the whole thing dark blue with the two white stripes going down the middle. Then on the panel, I am putting an 11"x8" acrylic window, rectangular w/ rounded corners, and I am putting a 10" Blue Neon light in the bottom of my case. I am also trying to find a nice decal (blue or white) of a mean looking viper to put on the acrylic....common Dodge fans, help me out!

I found this in the latest issue of Maximum PC.
1) Remove any logos with brake fluid. Use a coton swab to apply the solvent..
2) Wash the plastic with liquid dish detergent. Risn off compleatly and allow the part to air dry.
3) Prime the plastic parts with a plastic-compatable auto body primer. Note: If you skip this step you will screw them up so don't skip it.
4) Paint it with auto body paint. You can get it at places that sell car parts. The best way to apply the paint is with an internal mix, single-action auto airbrush. Spray the auto body paint into a jar, thin if needed, then pour in into the airbrush bottle. The airbrush will give you loads more control than a spray can. Put on as many coats as you want.
5) When it's done, spran on a clear coat and finish it up with some very find clear car wax.

Right now I'm trying to get approval to paint a school computer that I built. If it goes through I'll get some pictures for you all.
