Plex media streaming solution

This works great. It streams my movies, music and whatever else I need to my phone from my PC. I tried it over wifi and 3g and had no complaints.


The Android app is $5 and the desktop app is free.



Feel free to flame this software and post how you know of something better. I just wanted to give people a heads up that were looking for something like this.

I installed Plex on my Apple TV2 so I'm aware of the program. It's typical Mac program and very easy to use. But judging from the Apple TV version, the App is still too much of beta for me to consider paying for it. Good to hear it's working out for you. VLC stream does the same thing but it's 100X harder to use and setup. But that's free.

I'd prefer a trial for something like this. While $5 isn't much, I'd hate to spend it on something that ends up getting uninstalled. To me, the streaming to me over 3G seems pretty sweet.

not that I know of but I have no clue. I usually know if I want something right away.
