You do not have to hire a "ton" of security experts or programmers - security consultants are usually hired on a per-job basis, and all you need are a couple of good quality programmers.

Making $300,000 a month, I don't see what the problem is.

Every 3 - 6 months bring in a security consulting firm, have them do a review of the site and servers, then have your programmers fix the issues.

like someone else mentioned, I dont think he's netting 300K a month. Im sure his bills are pretty high too.

The owner of plenty of fish is a popular topic in the webmaster circles, due to his success and how much money his is making.

If you do a few google searches for "top adsense earners", Markus Frind turns up time and time again. If I remember right, there was a picture of one of his adsense checks posted somewhere.

Here ya go, found it

adsense check picture - its for 901,000 Canadian dollars

This guy has been talked about for several years and how much he is making off google. Plentyoffish has been at the top of google adsense earners for 3 or 4 years.

plenty of fish? More like plenty of fatties.

I just did a search for kicks and the results weren't too bad... most are just a bit older (late 20s and into thirties) where they have trouble even meeting new people. Imagine you're 25, working full-time and in a long relationship, then that goes sour... how the hell do you really meet people other than a hookup here and there from current friends? If you say a bar or club I'm going to laugh. We have a circle of friends and the couple single ladies I'd rate 7+ have been looking for a while but none of us really know new people... it's more an opportunity thing for them.

Is it true that women online are usually obese with 3 kids by 3 different fathers? That's how I always imagined women who use these sites.

Kind of like how the only people who use email or the phone are those who are too ugly to talk to you in person? Why else would someone use a service that offers convenience?

IMO good looking women probably don't use those kinda sites because they don't have trouble finding dates. Guys are not shy and don't mind asking good looking women out. if there is a good looking woman on a dating site IMO they are just hoebags looking for one night stands or looking for a sugar daddy. I couldnt tell you because I've never had to resort to that to find a woman. Also helps I've been with the same woman since I was 18.

Sounds like the hacker was a dumbass kid who tried to get some money from the dumbass owner. Reminds me of the movie Burn After Reading in that from the outside it's almost impossible to tell what's going on. Plus, the Russians are always involved. :)
