I'm trying to set up my Shopss.coN computer for the first time.
I cannot get any video image...the monitor is not getting any signal. There are no warning beeps from the internal speaker...The keyboard lights do flash on for an instant when I power up. I swapped out the ATI AGP graphics card and placed an ATI All-in -wonder card in the PCI slot- still no video image. I also swapped monitors with another monitor and tried on both video cards...still no video. I have no idea what's wrong. CAN ANYBODY HELP???
I guess I won't even be able to see the BIOS settings....

Most of the time if you get nothing happening other than the fans powering up etc, it's either your CPU slotket not being seated properly, or net set up right, or there's a problem with the IDE connections.

First, disconnect everything from the motherboard but the CPU, video and memory. Make sure your slocket (if you're using one) is seated properly in the motherboard, and has all the right settings for your particular CPU. If you still don't get anything, including no beeps, it means your motherboard, cpu or slocket are bad.

i disconnected everything and then I removed the ps connector and I shorted the cmos pins
then I removed the battery and waited....
I restarted and the same problem...nothing..so
I then reseated the processor in the slot 1 and..guess what..
we have ignition.......but...no op system...lol
I do not have a setting for the 667 133 coppermine
so I selected 500mhz (5x)
should I select something else for the processor speed??
and I am now going to try to laod win 98....from cdrom..
is it possible (maybe the bios has a cdrom first setting)

update:
finally set the boot sequence to cdrom,c,a.
now windows 98 is initially formatting the HD.
fingers are all crossed...which is prob y I had the prob to begib with .. LOL

Apperently you have found the bios. What mobo do you have and what are you doing putting a 667PIII 133fsb into a board without confirming the board can accept it?You are going to have problems my friend underclocking and then loading the os.You should have straightened your cpu problem out first. Good Luck.
