well in my opinion, you dont need like flashy descriptions. what ebayers want is simple and concise description of what you're selling and lots of PICTURES.

for description, no need for the custom layout. just use the normal one. and for the pics, get as much as you can but don't use the ebay picture listing setup (the pics are scaled down, plus every pics costs you $0.05). upload your pics at imageshack or any other free pics hosting website and then link the pics to your listing. the pics are BIGGER (not scaled down) plus it's free. and lastly, add a Gallery pic to your search listing. hope this helps

umm, also, I started this bid at $.99 and I put no reserve but I added a buy now for $149.99 is that fine?

Ditch the buy-it-now to save a buck (or whatever adding buy it now costs these days). With no reserve, the first bid on it will cancel the buy-it-now anyways.

Besides, for stuff like video cards, they tend to go for their value, +/- 20% or so. Savvy users are on there all the time trying to get 'deals,' so because of that you tend to get pretty much what it's worth.

Make the text smaller, and less banal. Highlight the highlights and use retail pics of the card to give it a better appearance...

Remember, pictures, then highlighted specs, then regular specs. No one will believe about the retail box because it won't make any difference in shipping. I assume you don't have it, just list everything it will ship with.

you need to reword this badboy

"Note: that this card is a lot better than the slower LE version. And performs past the LE plus can be overclock past what an LE could do(I It could) That is now all over Ebay."

I can't get to the auction from work, but I can offer one bit of advise Re selling hardware on Ebay. Be very clear about what you will and will not cover and/or support. There are quite a few people buying hardware that have no buisness even picking up a screwdriver let alone working inside a PC. They will get their system befuddled and expect you to be email tech support because obviosly its a problem with the hardware even though 99 times out of 100 its a classic case of OE.

Perfect example of this was a thread from a few months back. An AT member sold someone a very old Video Card, and the buyer wasted several hours of his time because he didnt feel the performance of the card was up to his expectations.

Edit: Here is the thread.

I strongly disagree with the retail picture portion of this advice. As a buyer I always look for people that have their own pics because when buying used, I like to see the exact item I am getting. For computer hardware, I usually take a detailed shot of the actual part (usually front and back), and a wider shot of the product with the box and bundle it comes with.

Also, was everything else ok? Like Should I put this card on a regular bid with no reserve? I was told not to put it on reserve. I had a buy now there, but now since someone for in .99 it is not gone. What can I do about that?

Required shipping insurance will hurt your bids, as will any scam costs you try to add in. Keep it short & sweet next time too.

I heard that keeping alot of detail was good. And I also heard on ebya boards that alot of people do insurance.
