Please tell me I'm not the only one who ever played this...

FYI - The game is

"Super Solvers - Midnight Rescue"

I wish I'd known that, would have saved me a link click.

Good for those who did play it. Enjoy

Timber! I still play that on MAME, it's awesome as hell. Same graphics as Tapper but with trees and lumberjacks.

Hrmmm... I never played that game, but that site is bringing back memories of hours and hours and hours of Commander Keen, Crystal Caves, and Secret Agent!

For me it's SimCity 2000, Railroad Tycoon and Red Baron.

Ah yes....
I played all of the CK games except Commander Keen 5. Also had Crystal Caves.

SimCity 2000 - I encountered "technical limitations" with that game. I had city blocks that were 8x8 squares, each with 2 Launch Arcologies (4x4 each) and 2 Police stations (3x3 each), with parks or trees in the extra space. The game started giving graphic glitches as the city grew, and would sometimes crash once I'd filled the entire map with 8x8 squares like that. I sure did have a big population though. 😀
Starting an earthquake was a surefire way to crash the game, since so many structures would try to collapse at once.

I also kind of cheated on power generation: At the start, I'd make a big mountain in one corner and cover it with flowing water. Result: fairly cheap hydroelectric power, with the added bonus of not needing to replace my power plants every 50 years. For whatever reason, hydropower plants lasted forever.
