HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvTweak

"CoolBits"=dword:00000003

EDIT: wow screwy formatting.. you get the idea though.

Didn't work. I did add value,DWORD/picked decimal, typed 00000003 (it shows up as x3 afterwords) but it doesn't work.

Obviously, this is a PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) ;)

Could you be more specific with the instructions, please? Thaks.

Argh. Did it. 100x already. It's gotta be these drivers (44.03)

OH: I'm running DX9; does that matter?

I am using the 30.82 drivers for my GF3. Unfortunately I can't try this on my Win2k setup as I am waiting on my PSU to get back. It arrived in Fremont this morning and I ahould get it back next week. I will know more then and will still use the 30.82 drivers. I got that info straight out of Maximum PC (lastest issue on video cards) and they had pics of 44.xx drivers.

Hi guys; thanks to all that helped. PM, email and here in this thread; you guys rock! :cool:

I'm using the 44.03s; straight off NVidia's page. i've tried everything; the "addiitional properties" option remains grayed-out. :(
