Please recommend a Graphics Card in the price range of Rs.5000 to Rs.6500.
I am not a serious gamer & do not care about frame Rates etc.
Just want to play the following games in my 22" Acer LCD monitor.
Purpose: I want to play Wolfenstein- The new Order, Mafia 2, Maxpayne 3 and any FPS games which might be released in near future, without stuttering or lag.

My current Hardware:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550 - 3.1GHz.
RAM: 4GB (DRAM Frequency-666.7 Mhz).
Mobo: ASUS M4A88T-M LE ( 880G chipset= HD4250). with PCI e 2.0
Update:
PSU: seasonic s12ii 520

I request some one recommend good GPU.
price range of Rs.5000 to Rs.6500 ($110)
.
I researched and found these:

HD7770 / Radeon R7 250X for a price of Rs.7000
Used HD7770 - Rs.5700

Are the above ones good enough?

PSU is seasonic s12ii 520
HD7770 was here in this forum Bazaar for Rs.5700 just few hours ago.
It seems it is sold. :-(
anyways...please provide your input on this:
My Mobo is a PCIe 2.0 version...so I was thinking whether should I buy a used HD6770 1GB GDDR5 for Rs.4000 ?
or
Still you think I should stick with HD7770?

That's properly going to be a tall order, with only a dualcore no matter which graphics card you choose. Especially multiplayer.

That said, definitely the HD7770. It can properly handle most games if you stay at 768p. As a bonus, you get mantle support for some games.

What I'd really like to recommend is a GTX750(TI) or R7-260(X). But that is perhaps a bit outside your price range.

That shouldn't be a problem, you can always lower resolution inside games to make them playable. I'd still stick to 768p or 720p to get decent framerates (above 60FPS for smooth gameplay). But you can always experiment to see what works best on your system. Your CPU will likely become the bottleneck before your GPU.

BTW, if you're coming from the integrated HD4250, that HD7770 is about an order of magnitude faster. I think you'll be surprised just how much faster it is... ;)

Given the low budget, your question is basically the same as "what is the best card I can possibly get for my budget?" A used 7770 would be about the best you can do in your price range. For new cards you'd have to step down one notch to the GT 640 or R7 250.

I would recommend the HD7770 as well. I am using one in my current system, but with a much faster cpu. I can play most games I have tried at 1080p at med to high settings. Only game I really struggled with was Witcher 2. At 1680 x 1050 the 7770 shoul serve you well. I have to admit though, that I only play single player, and am satisfied with 40ish FPS. I actually think that cpu will hold you back in a lot of games even with a lower end card like the 7770.

Hi all,

I have new input.... GTX560Ti seems to be very much faster than HD7770...
Please help which one to choose in next 24 hours I got to buy....:
Option 1:
Used GTX560Ti 1GB card available for Rs.7000($120), with warranty till June 2014 ( just one more month). Can negotiate with seller and bring it down to Rs.6500($111).
Option 2:
A new HD Radeon 7770 card available for Rs.6500($111) ( after 10% discount on original price of Rs.7250 - SnapDeal - india website for a particular CreditCard). Carries a 2 Years Warranty

Reason for considering 560Ti is because of this performance benchmark:

The 560TI is without a doubt the faster card. If you can live with the higher power consumption, and reduced warranty, go for it... ;)

As of now, 560Ti Hawk with 1 month warranty is quoted for ~Rs.5300 (~90$).
Is it worth it to get this 560Ti for the above mentioned price?
I am not very good in GPU s and that is the reason I am asking this.

Yes 7770 or the rebadge r7 250x. Unless you get the 560ti much cheaper

As of now, 560Ti Hawk with 1 month warranty is quoted for ~Rs.5300 (~90$).
Is it worth it to get this 560Ti for the above mentioned price or do you think it should be little more cheaper for its value and warranty(1 month)?
I am not very good in GPU s and that is the reason I am asking this again.

Going by those prices you've quoted, then yes, the 560TI sounds like a good deal. However with regards to warranty, I'm afraid that is something that you alone can be the judge of... :)

For my part, I have zero idea of how warranty is handled in India and how much its worth.

It might seem I am harping on same point ...however, my intention is to get a good card and be done with it.
I spoke to the person who is going to sell the GTX560Ti Hawk....
He is currently playing a game in that card and will be able to ship it to my on June 1st or 2nd for a price of Rs.5500($93). He is willing to provide me with latest GPU z and other latest photographs and the serial number of the card so that I can check the warranty.
It seems to be in a very good working condition.
After seeing the benchmark results for this GTX560Ti Hawk compared to HD7770 ...i wanna get the 560Ti card.
anything ...i should ask the seller before buying it ( to know the fans and h/w is working fine)?

If he's using it to play games right now, what else do you need to know that it's in a condition to play games?

Ordered a new Sapphire HD7770 for $110(Rs.6500) with 2 years manufacturer warranty as the person selling the used GTX560Ti kept oscillating with price and did not honor the deal he made over phone 2 days ago!
Peace of Mind ;-)

Well, though luck for him... :)

Coming from the HD4250, I think you'll be very happy with that HD7770. Don't forget to use the Mantle support.

I played MaxPayne3 on a HD7850 at 1920x1080 with most settings turned up (went easy on the AA though) and it played just fine. That is assuming you can find one within your budget.
