Hi,

Recently my current Lucent Internal modem (model DS560-552L - Fax/Data/Voice) was fried due to power surge. I am looking for a replacement. I am using my pc with this modem for the following tasks.
1) Receiving Fax and sending Fax
2) Telephone & Telephone answering Mahcine
3) Audio & video Conferencing
4) Internet connection
5) Conneticng to the work company network

These are the current Features of the Lucent Modem:

Fax Communications
Data Communications
Voice Mailing/Telephone Answering Machine
Full-Duplex Speakerphone
Digital Simultaneous Voice and Data -DSVD

Could any body please help me in finding out the replacement modem.

The cost is covered under PC Extended warranty so price is not a factor.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This Zoom modem, and this Creative modem look pretty nice. The Zoom modem is definetely a winmodem, but I couldn't get any information on the Creative. So if you use linux or a different OS than Windows, you may want to check them out further. They both comply to the latest modem standards, v.92 and v.44. If your ISP ever supports those standards, it should really speed up your connection.

Thank you very much. I have Windows 98 on my machine. I will check the models you mentioned. I am not sure whether my current (fried Lucent modem) is Winmodem or not. How Can I find this. Do you have any sugestions. I appreciate your Help.

Winmodems lack modem chips and things - they are cheap as a result. Avoid them if possible. This is a very good performing line:
