Please Suggest A Good GPU For My Old System

My system is an intel i5 3750 cpu, AMD 7800 series gpu, gigabyte MB Z77X-UD3H, 16 GB RAM, non SSD HD, Windows 10. I built this 7 years ago.
I was thinking of the Nvidia GTX 1660 super for a GPU upgrade that will buy me some time before I buy a new system. Perhaps the cheaper gtx 1650 would do just fine too. I only do light gaming on this machine. Any thoughts?

For light gaming the 1650 super or rx570/580 would be sufficient. Or you could get the 1660 Super and then move the card to the new build in future. I would go for the second option as you won't have to buy another card again. But it would also depend on what kind of pc you build in the future, if its a hi end pc then the 1660S would be out of place so its your call.

Thanks for the advice. I'm planning on building a higher-end PC in 1-2 years. I just hope that my old motherboard can handle the newer cards.

There's a BIOS update from 2012 that says Improved VGA compatibility, and the last BIOS was released in 2014, so I'm damn sure your motherboard will support any modern graphics card.

The i5 3570 should definitely be enough for a performance target between 30-60 FPS depending on the game, definitely minimum 30 FPS in all games.

Thanks for the info. On the Gigabyte site, it asks me what revision my motherboard is. I can't find that info when I check the system summary. It says version x.x only. Does that mean it's the earlier version?

If you look at the motherboard itself, the revision will be on the top left corner
