If you're looking for a good monitor as in good value, I'd suggest the Samsung SyncMaster 753DF.

It's not a true flat, but for ~$200 CDN, you can't go wrong.

IMO best way is for you to go and personally look @ Models with similar set-ups, then judge for yourself as everyone see's colors differently then look for the best price.
