people shouldent have to use an inferior browser to make the forums work correctly

Greasemonkey scripts also work in Opera 🙂 Here's how:

  1. 1. Go to Tools>Preferences>Advanced>Content then click "Javascript Options".
    2. Set a directory for your user javascript files, anything will work
    3. Open up the truncation script here. Copy the entire script
    4. Create a text document named xxx.user.js (you can put whatever you want for the filename, as long as it ends in .user.js 😉 ) in your directory that you set in step 2
    5. Paste the script into your xxx.user.js file, and save the file
    6. Refresh the anandtech forum page, and the truncation is gone! 🙂

Anyone notice that the mods never reply to this section of the forum?

I count about a dozen easy fixes, that would only help us (the readers and posters) and they don't even bother themself to post as to why or why not they made up their minds?...they do however remove a thread they dont' like...lol

Thank you for finally acknowledging it's being addressed. The lack of response was nearly as annoying as the bug itself.
