how the heck did you find that?

Better yet...is there a list of all the cool Windows shortcuts that actually work in Windows 7?

I really miss my Windows key u u enter.

Seriously... I use it all the time.

It's a travesty that Windows now hides hot-keys by default.

Close
[Alt]+[Space],[C]

Minimize
[Alt]+[Space],[N]

Maximize
[Alt]+[Space],[X]

Restore
[Alt]+[Space],[R]

[Alt]+[-] used to work to show the control box menu (in Windows 3.x, the control box looked like a dash). In Windows 95A, you could put keyboard focus on the start button and bring up the control box with [Alt]+[-]...then you could close the start button and confuse the heck out of whoever would use the computer.

You can use most of the same hot-keys when you right-click the title bar or taskbar button, meaning you never have to zero-in on those little buttons again. Most tabs also allow you to right-click + [C] to close.

Other frequent shortcuts...

Run Menu
[Win]+[R] (I use this MORE THAN I USE MY MOUSE)
-notepad
-magnify
-cmd
-regedit
-mstsc /v:[computer]
-mspaint
-rstrui
-services.msc
-iexplore -firefox [url] -chrome [url] (than... selected area if you want to "draw" with it.

The better question is:
How the heck does Rudeguy not find that one accidentally? The [Space] key should have [Alt] keys on either side unless you are using an Apple keyboard. I've pressed them together and activated the menu by accident countless times.

The fingers you have used to dial are too fat, to obtain a special dialing wand please mash the keypad with your palm now.

right click > show menu bar.

Now you can double click the top left corner to close it.

Or (Alt +) View > Toolbars > Menu Bar.

But, I was expecting a contentious bug report thread in Bugzilla informing us that they will not support this feature any more. I didn't realize we already had a solution.

But, now that I know about it, I don't know if I actually need it.

I've also found that today, I've looked at the title bar a few times to find the title of the current page, but it's not there! My tabs don't always have enough information to tell me which page I'm browsing.

To revert or not to revert.:hmm:

Ctrl-W is probably my most used keyboard shortcut besides cut, copy, and paste.

I do [Ctrl]+[F4] because it's far more standard in Windows.

I don't think I mentioned [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[T]

In FF/Chrome, it brings up your most recently closed tab(s).
