please select proper boot device?

I have a z87-d3hp.
First off, my bios startup is shifted to the left of my screen. You can only see half of any bios messages. When I go into setup, however, everything is fine.

I can successfully install and run windows vista x64 on one hard drive.
I am trying to run windows on a raid 0 setup. When I do so, I can complete the windows vista installation, and it says to reboot in which it does. But ones the computer starts up again, it says please select proper boot device.

I used the installation cd and went into startup repair tool, and it says everything is fine..
Not sure of the problem here

Is the RAID controller in the boot list?

Is the RAID 0 Array marked as bootable in the array config?

RAID 0 array is marked as bootable in the array config

I'm not sure if the raid controller is in the boot list, would it be listed as intel volume1 or UEFI: Hard Drive?

Have you enabled and constructed you array according to the manual? Starting on p59 of the manual on their website gives a pretty good description of the steps you need to take.

Are you running in UEFI mode?

The steps I took were exact of the manual, except I am installing windows vista 64bit.
I am not running in UEFI mode because it only is for windows 7/8 I believe.

Now it says "ing del to restart"
This is because my screen is cut off for some reason also.
I believe its saying "bootmgr is missing, crt alt del to restart"

OK, so you did the configuration in the Legacy RAID ROM, can I assume?
How is the RAID Configuration Utility reporting the status of your array?

Cool. The next thing of interest to me would be the Boot Option Priorities and Hard Drive/CD Drive/BBS Priorities. The manual isn't too specific here. Is there a RAID boot option available within these menus? What device is booting first?

Also, when going through Vista setup, did the hard drive look like it should (1 volume of proper size)?

Doesn't look like raid boot option is available
I set intel volume1 as first booting device, I'm not even sure what it is, I'm guessing its my raid 0 volume

The hard drive was 1 volume, proper size, and was able to be partitioned correctly

OK, well maybe someone else has an idea. I am out for the moment. Have you run Windows on a single hard drive on this board yet?

That might be something I would try next. Make sure I could get it working on one standard drive, then try jumping into the RAID array again.

yeah, i said in the op that it works just fine with a single drive

lol i give up.. i'll just go with one drive and backup using other.

what about the other drive.is it clean.no OS install
