Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet but Drunken Master 1978 version. It's an awesome movie. They made a 90's version but I didn't like that one. Great Jackie Chan. My other favorite Jackie Chan movie is Who Am I? cus it has some really awesome action scenes. Action scene on the rooftop fighting two guys is one of my favorite of all time.

Drunken Master is on Sphinx's list. Never heard of of Who Am I? though, thanks.

I went home last night and started browsing through my collection for titles that weren't mentioned here yet. Amazingly all of them were except one: Curse of the Golden Flower (not an awesome movie, but worth the time IMO).

Also, while not exactly "Kung Fu", Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring is an AMAZINGLY good film. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374546/

Anything with Tony Jaa.

Everyone says Ong-Bak but I liked The Protector a lot more
I actually bought it on blu-ray and the original version and theatrical version are waaaay different. It seems a lot of the dialouge was cut so the original version is more than just
Tony Jaa: "Where are my elephants?!" Followed by him kicking everyone in the rooms ass
The audio track is also completely different lending a different mood to the film

I don't like one over the other they are just suprisingly different

My list is more of a primer in the subject than a list of the greatest MA movies of all time. The list is meant to show the evolution of the genera and the various types of MA movies, some of the major stars, and how newer directors have borrowed from the past.

Also, while I was typing it, it began as just a random list, and the idea above came to me as I was typing it, I hit post and made it all the way to today, before I noticed that Drunken Master is at the bottom, but it should come right before Enter the Dragon. I meant the original, not the American remake (with the same star). I definitely wanted an early Jackie Chan, fight with everything by accident comic-fu movie to be represented. KT, please don't use Legend of Drunken Master.

No disrespect El Guaraguao, and props ZeroCool84.

Also notice, zero Chuck Norris movies. LOL!

In deference to Chuck, perhaps I should have included Silent Rage. I'm having trouble thinking any of his other movies are worthwhile. I just don't want a roundhouse kick to the face.

I never EVER could get into Chuck Norris movies.

This is great, thanks guys. I'm having difficulty finding a few of these, but hopefully they'll pop up somewhere. :hmm:

Anyone mention chocolate yet?

Thailand + autistic female + martial arts, I actually liked this movie a lot.. bit cheesy at times but overall it was fun.

i would enjoy the jackie chan movies if he wasn't such a fucking comedian. i don't like comedy mixed with ultra-violence.

Which ones can't you find? I'm having issues with a few of them too.
Feel free to PM.

The first two from Sphinx's list to start. My rental place is going to order the first one for me though and I'm hoping they will get the sequel if I pester them enough.
