That can easily be worn under business attire.

I am not liking my results at Amazon...

Thanks.

I like smart wool as a base layer. I wear long underwear and a shirt when I go skiing. Available in 4 thicknesses to suit your needs. If you are going to wear this under a suit, the midweight and lightweight thicknesses should be good. Avoid the microweight, they are too delicate and dont last for too long I've heard.

You get a merino wool base layer than is as soft as cotton (not itchy like other wools), resists odor and is quick drying. They hug your skin, dont bind up and are very comfortable. My favorite base layers by far. You have to wash them with delicates and I'd avoid the clothes dryer if I were you too. They are very warm and breathe very well. I've worn them to sleep on freezing night and they are great. They are pricey, going for $60-75 USD per garment but well worth it to me.

I've become a big fan of fleece underwear these past few winters, but for under a suit? Hrmm, something thin I guess, under armor maybe? Turtle Fur and Hot Chillys use some thin, shear materials in some of their garments too I think.

Check these guys out www.snowshack.com

I am looking for something that will last more than one season. My silk long underwear tends to disintegrate after a year or so.

My UA stuff has been going for several years now. I wouldn't mind finding something warmer for really cold weather, but most of the time they do okay.

My wife's family loves WinterSilks. Silk is probably your best bet under a suit. I'm pretty sure they have mens stuff, but I won't go to an underwear website at work to be certain.

Smart wool (mentioned above) is a good company for socks, but I haven't looked at their other products.

Merino > Silk

Merino is: sturdier (silk lose form when wet), insulates very wellwhen wet, doesn't stink for weeks on end, regulates temp between hot/cold much better than other fibers. It's why mountaineers use this stuff for a reason.

Minus33 is cheaper than Icebreaker/Smartwool brands and is the same material (Australia/New Zealand) and sturdy construction
