Is it true that MP 4 is better than MP 5?

Also, is there a way to unlock all the mini-games without having to play through the story/party mode?
 
nothign beats Super Monkeyball 2,
honestly. if you don't ebelive me, get it from blockbuster (rent) and play it for 2 hours. play the monkey glider game, trust me you'll be hooked. 4 players, crazy fun.

MP 1, 2 & 3 were all pretty much the same, but they swapped out some things in the mini game and replaced them with other objects and junk like that so they looked different. I can't imagine them doing anything less with 4 & 5.

New game boards, new menus, maybe some new features, but you can bet that the mini games will probably be strikingly similar.

As far as unlocking the games, the short version.. no, you gotta play it. The long version.. you could probably find someone who has played a sh!tload of MP and copy their savegame to save some time. If you have a BBA you might be able to connect the PC to the GC and copy a save file over.. I don't know if that's totally possible yet but I do know some interesting things have already been done with hooking the GC to a PC. Is it worth the effort? Prolly not. But hey, you might learn something cool 😉
 
Double Dash is a good start. I can also vouch for SSB:Melee and Mario Party 5. Between those three, that oughta be more than enough.
