My Asus P5B-E has died an untimely death and I need a replacement. I need something solid that's stable, has good overclocking capabilities (without the horrible Vdroop of my P5B) and supports DDR2 and of course properly supports my CPU which the P5B-E only did through some kind of BIOS magic. I prefer not to mess around with non-Intel chipsets. The rest of my hardware is in my signature.

I'm open to other suggestions besides Asus. Thanks for your recommendations.
 
Any Gigabyte based P45 board should do. GA-EP45-UD3R being a prime example. Could try the FS/FT forum for a used one for cheap.
 
Thanks for the help guys. It actually wasn't the MB. Turns out my freezing was Microsoft Security essentials conflicting with Zonealarm.

Before I figured that out I suspected a MB problem, I tried to reflash BIOS in Windows and it failed which is how the CMOS checksum got corrupted. Thankfully I was able to reflash in DOS and get back up and running.
