i'm looking for a new case so i can begin and finish building my new computer

i'd like to know what you think the best case would be for around $80, out of the box

i've look around but can't find enough information to make an informed decision

Thanks for your help!!!!!!

wow, that one is sweet....is that the alienware case?

edit: doh, just noticed no psu...didn't plan on buying seperately

edit: can someone recommend a psu around $30..maybe 300W =) if they think the above is the best case

I have the Antec 635 Case w/ 350W PS. I bought it locally for about $85 I think, but you can find it a little cheaper online.

Is this a good psu??? I really have no idea....please recommend one if this one is crap.

Allied 350W Power Supply ATX350P4 ***AMD APPROVED good to 2100+ *** UL, CSA, FCC Approved
$34

from newegg.com (i posted a link to the page, then clicked on it and a few windows started popping up every second until there were like 30 IE windows open....so i edited it out)

that Antec case looks good, and has psu =)

You probably want the Chieftec DX-01WD-420W for $84 shipped from this page. It's the same as the Alienware/Antec SX10x0, and comes with a decent quality 420 watt power supply.

that's great RagMan...I think I might get the silver =)

thanks guys for your help!
I've spent hours trying to get info on search engines but it just took 30 minutes on here =)

Keep the suggestions coming. I'm not going to order anything till tonight.

I would have to give the nod the the evercase also offered at newegg, with a 300w PS it comes in at ~$63 shipped You can't beat that, not to mention you should think about the big glaring problem with cases w/ a door. If you accidently open your cd tray while it's closed/locked then you "could" damage the cd machanism, I tried one of the antec cases and didn't see the hype personally the evercase had most of the same features.

I'm looking for a good case in the same price range ($80-$100 - cheaper is better 🙂) but with front USB ports. I'm currently leaning towards the Antec PP660B with front USB and Firewire, plus a side fanhole. Any of you know of a similar quality case for maybe a bit less (it costs $95)?

I got this when it was $69

The Dx-01wd uses a channelwell cwt-420 psu, which is the same exact psu in the antec sx1040 (w/o the smart fans)

Just compare the pics of psu, you will see "cwt420" in the lower right hand corner of both psus

I'm with ICS Vortex. The 7237 is a very well made case. The ability to remove the drive bracket and the side covers easily makes this a no-brainer. The other cases do look better but as much as I am in and out of my case the ease of access just makes it sweeter.

Try it you'll like it.
