Can you guys please advice on a PSU for this build? I'm running it in a bitfenix prodigy and oc-ing to 4.5

Asrock z77e itx
3570k
Evga gtx650
Gskill sniper 2x8
Gemini s524 and potentially xspc raystorm 750 kit later on
2x 1TB seagate 7200
1x 2tb Caviar green
1x m4 128

Does overcooking entail very much more overhead wattage wise? How about a water pump.. How much wattage does that take up?

I was thinking Fsp hexa 500 or be quiet system 450. Will those be good enough wattage, noise and efficency wise? Seasonics look good but they're a bit beyond my budget.

Here are the psus available to me.

Corsair TX650 is way overkill for a setup like that. The i5-3570K isn't power hungry and the GTX 650 doesn't even require external power. A 400W unit is more than enough.

There are disappointingly few 400W units in the shop you linked. The only reasonably priced and decent quality unit I can find is Corsair CX430 RM 172.59

My first choice was the be quiet system 450 but they're out. How reliable is the strider essential 80+ 500?

I was thinking 650 was too much too, or maybe I do need that for overclock? Some graphs show that oc adds more than a 100W to the power demand?

Seasonic 1000W Platnium, all modular and has a 7 year warantee, places have it for 199.99 and its worth every dime. Do not cheap out on the Power Supply, its the most important part of your build and most probably the hardest part to replace.

That's way overkill me thinks. In any case, my budget is only about 70 dollars

Silverstone essentials are alright, not that different from the CX series Corsair units. I doubt the Silverstone would be any quieter than Corsair CX430 though, as they both are only 80 Plus certified.

Overclocking the 3570K from stock to 4.5GHz only increases power consumption by around 30W or so, it's nothing. It's when you OC near 5GHz with high voltages that you start to see doubling in CPU power consumption.

@ alan1476: that has to be a troll post.
