Please recommend a good power supply.

I need a power supply for a new 9800GX2.

Please recommend me a good one that is between 700-950 Watt and has a 8 Pin PCI-E cable for the GX2. (Would prefer a normal 8 pin over the 6+2 and dont want to use the 6 to 8 pin converter cable.

Right now I have a Seasonic 700 Watt and I really like it but I need a new one for the GX2.

I am not really willing to use the adapter cable so a standard 8 Pin PCIE cable and a power supply officially approved for the GX2 is important to me.

Thanks for the help. 🙂

Edit: I should also mention, It is for a Core 2 system E6850 non overclocked and I will only be using the 1 9800GX2.

Would prefer Modular but non-modular is ok too. I could probably spend $100-300.

The system specs for the computer that it is going in.
Asus P5B Deluxe
E6850
Western Digital 500GB
Western Digital 80GB
Crucial 2 GIG
Windows XP
Nothing overclocked

hasn't nvidia redesigned the shroud? Really, there are not that many PSUs out there that have true 8 pin connectors, it would only be in their best interests to redesign the shroud.

Anyway...look at the Silverstone Olympia and Decathalon series. They are probably the bet bet to find 700 Watt PSUs with true 8 pin connectors, that are both quality and reasonably priced.

I currently have a Seasonic, Is the Silverstones comparable in quality and reliability to the Seasonics?

Sorry I dont know too much about power supplies 🙂
