When I was a Kid I had Schwinn, they were expensive, but, my whole family was Schwinn fans since like the 1960s.

Otherwise, Huffy seemed like the cheap brand, but, really, their bikes were plenty good for kids.

that in a nutshell is one major issue with kids sports...

i for one wanted the girl on the bike next to him to swerve and take the kid out...

What is? Parents competing with each other through their kids?

Yeah.

Huffy does not appear to be of even adequate quality anymore.

I will look into Schwinn. Also, Mongoose brand appears to have good reviews

Not really. If you have to buy a department store brand then get the simplest one you can so there is less crap to break, wear out, or need constantly tweaked. Suspension is worthless on those things, suspensions are worthless on the kids LBS brand too btw the kids aren't heavy enough to use them, so they just add weight.

Just got my son the 24" version of this bike and it is outstanding. Very solid, very well built, and very good looking unless you hate orange. Plus, you can be an unofficial member of the Duke boys. :p

Yeah... that looks like a quality product. Christ, they didn't even install the seat properly for the website photo.

Just another cheap piece of shit from China.

You're not one of those folks who take the bike back if it's not adjusted properly are you?
