Please recommend a good data recovery service/company

I have a laptop that a friend gave me to try and repair but the hard drive is dead and won't spin. I tried in another laptop and external case and it is just not getting power.

I am looking to recover about 1GB-5GB in important business and financial files off the hard drive and cost it not that much of an issue as long as it is reasonable.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good company that offers dead hard drive recovery? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Be prepared for a $500 - $2000 quote. Hopefully you'll perform regular backups in the future. My recommendations would be a 4GB USB flash drive $50 or if your laptop have a DVD burner you can use a $1 DVD+RW disc. 🙂

Yeah, I do perform backups but this isn't my system. It is a friends and unfortunately he didn't back it up. Thanks for the links.
