What are some good games out there for PC's? I built a good Sandybridge pc with a Radeon 5770 Fanless video card. I'm not a big gamer, but I do enjoy the occasional game. I like the GTA series, Portal, and racing games.

Cool. IMO, Ep1 was "meh", but Ep2 was fantastic, especially the final level. I may have to replay HL2 again for the achievements.

You should really just get Episode 2 now before it costs $10 again 😛

Also finish HL2.

If you like GTA you might like Just Cause (2), if you like Portal you might like Braid, and if you like racing I have no idea. Although I did pickup Burnout on Steam.

Just Cause 2, like GTA but a hundred times bigger. Should run well on your system, might have to turn a few settings down.

Batman Arkham Asylum is just fun.

Dirt 2 is a good racing game.

I liked Half Life 2 as a first game because I got to learn the basic keys/commands without having to deal with all the menus and layers of fluff in other games. The game I liked the most so far was Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl with Stalker Complete Mod. Its a simple game mostly but very inventive. Just the sounds of the gasps of the dying characters is pretty wild. Things like anomalies, atrifacts, ghosts that can be shot, wild mutant animals etc are more imaginative than the standard stuff. Oh Left for Dead2 is also pretty simple but still fun. Valve follows the KISS principle and I like it.
