I am actually considering getting the MSI board cause it matches the red 9700 Pro card.. :p

My retail ATI 9700 Pro works great with my Soltek SL-75FRN-L (see "my specs"). Before that, it worked great with my Epox 8RDA and Asus A7N8X.

Epox 8RDA+
ATI-built (pretty sure it is) 9700 Pro
Very stable system - at 200MHz FSB too.

I have an abit nf7-s and an original ati aiw radeon. I had problems at first (the generic windows drivers for the chipset and video card did not agree). I was easily able to resolve this by booting into safe mode and installing the drivers that came with the motherboard. Then I upgraded to the latest drivers for both and haven't had a problem since.

That shouldn't be a problem as long as you avoid the 3.4 bios for the board or the 5.1 bios for the new delta version of the board. Not sure if the problem exists witht he new delta boards in any bios version. you may have to check the msi forums on that. They are currently working with ATI to correct the issue in the next bios release for my board.

I had an MSI nforce2 board (forget the model number) and I had problems, but it wasn't with the video card, just the sound and NIC. Then I returned that and exchanged it for an ASUS A7N8X deluxe with my Radeon 9700 pro. Works great now.
