I got some strange results.
on a good day I got 70+mbps for Read Burst Speed. (the bottom, horizonal red bar) (I think I got this result in Win 98)
on a bad day I got 4mbps (not a typo) for Read Burst Speed. (in win 2000)

here's the specs:
T-bird 800@800, IBM 30GB 7200 (split into 2,6,4,3,10,3 GB partitions), A7V, 256MB.
any idea?

LarryJoe,

When you start HDTach 2.61 you will see a check box labelled "Advanced size check". I get a BSOD when I enable this.

Thanks Peemo - me too on the BSOD! Oh well, my hdd real world access time appears to be lightning fast and leaves nothing to be desired. Enough with these benches and on to some computing (gaming:))
