this may sound stupid... but have you tried going into the control panel ... user accounts ... and check that the .net is enabled?

I restored it again, my Windows thing is fixed, but msn still won't connect.

uninstall and resinstall MSN then.

I tried, didn't work. I lost important files too, restoring my system.

Um it doesn't delete files. All it does is restore settings.

Have you checked to see if your firewall is blocking MSN or not?

I assume you use a router?

Yes i do. But my computer is the host of the router, the other one just has 1 connection under network places, mine has LAN and the router one.

My firewall isn't blocking msn, never has. And yes, it deleted some exe's i had installed.

You could try using trillian or some of the other IM programs that can connect to the MSN network without Microsoft's client. Also, you might not want to be so abrasive if you want people to help you.

I did try trillian, it won't work.

I'm not being abrasive, only 2 or 3 people actually helped, out of a 2 page thread. Bunch of douches.

I'm not trying to start a fight, but it might just be posts such as the one above that deter people from trying to help here.

Yea, but you cannot really expect serious tech support help in OT on a saturday night, can you. 😉

anyway... reset your router. i had a problem once where i could not connect to certain site... like samsclub.com and avon.com and AIM would not connect, but trillian would. the tech support guy made me reset my modem and i was fine.

You suck at computers.

Ok, but i dont see anyone in here helping or giving ideas, so i guess you guys suck as well. Hence, shut the fvck up. Btw: Youre not funny.
Does this look like "Technical Support" or "Operating Systems" to you?

You posted this in the wrong forum. Hence, YOU shut the fvck up. At least be polite to those who really don't have to help you in the first place. You're "that dude" (TM) who gets pissed and makes a scene when McD's won't serve him a damn Whopper.
