WOW...get over yourselves.

Everyone bashes Christianity, and yes there are idiots in that form of religion also (clinic bombers) but I mean come on, devotion to ones religion is one thing but this mentality is part of the reason the rest of the world it taking steps forward and this area of the world is getting left behind.

Think of the bloody mess this country would be if political cartoons encited riots! We'd all be dead, which is apparently the way those guys want it. But they fail to see the part where they'll die too. The whole mess is a dead end street.

I wonder what would happen is Muslims living in the deep south decided to riot of this?

Well, maybe someone should try it and see. I'm placing my money on the radical southerners . 😀

Here's the Vatican officially weighing in on the topic (from CNN):

In its first official comments on the caricatures, the Vatican, while deploring violent protests, said certain forms of criticism represent an "unacceptable provocation."

"The right to freedom of thought and expression ... cannot entail the right to offend the religious sentiment of believers," the Vatican said in a statement.

Well, they certainly wussed out and lost my respect, not that they had it in the first place.

This is almost comical. Now we'll have a WoH (War on Humor, not to be confused with WoT/WoD).

Then what the hell is the point of Freedom of Speech? If we fallowed this train of thought we might as well ban any speech that insults or offends anyone.

You know what? I would like to officially state that the Vatican can collectively suck my left nut.

That's like two cops agreeing that gun control is good.

Tit-for-tat. Now the Danes, Chileans, and Swedes are going to torch the Syrian embassy.

Oh wait, thats right, the Danes, Chileans, and Swedes aren't fckin nuts.

The far-right in Europe are quite fckin nuts. I wouldn't be surprised if actions similar to what happened after Van Gogh's murder occur.

My only question is what if a Muslim cartoon artist drew a picture of Jesus telling priests to molest little children or telling the KKK what to do and had that published in Al Jazeera? Would Christians respond in a similar fashion? Ok, maybe it would be hard to draw Jesus in such a way that would be equal to the cartoon of Mohammed because most Christians do not blow themselves up in the name of Christianity but you get my point.

Wonder why it's such a big deal this week instead of 5-6 months ago when the cartoon first appeared?

Most protestors haven't seen the caricatures themselves but know about them through word of mouth. The chain reaction originated in a Danish muslim organisation. But their religious belief forbids the protestors to actually look at this caricatures.

What I find rather ironic is that most of Europe was fairly sympathetic to the plight of the middle east. These ridiculous demonstrations and the inevitable violence against Europeans will only solidify support for more harsh actions against middle eastern countries......

While reading the link posted these words came to me.

Isaiah 17
1The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.:Q

Apparently the Danish embassy was in a building that also housed the embassies of Chile and Sweden.
Yeah... It's called Collateral Damage... Like when good moslems get blown up together with infidels.... Do the moslems killed as collateral damage get the 72 virgins as well when they go to heaven?

Sigh... First we publish cartoons of Mohammad.
Then they stop buying our goods, burn our flag (also a cross), burn pictures of our Prime Minister, step on our flag... Now, they burn our embassy. As you may know, the ground upon which the embassy stands is Danish. Therefore this is an direct attack upon Denmark.
Is this ever going to end?
Jyllands Posten have apologized long ago.
The Norwegian government have apologized long ago, but they *still* got their embassy burned...

ALL moslems in the world absolutely need to condemn this incident.
We Danes look on in disbelief as these people act like animals. We have not gotten more tolerant against Islam because of this incident, and the further the moslems take this, the less tolerant we will get. When do the moslems realize that the way they act do not create tolerance, but only hate?

The boycott of Danish products, I can understand. It is a mature reaction, if somewhat misguided since the target should have been Jylland Posten and not all of Denmark.
This, however...

Naser Khader, a danish politician (and moslem) originally from Syria stated in the news that Syria is a dictatorship and that the demonstration (and burning) would not have happened without permission. It seems Syria wants to get back in bed with the Arab League (they were ousted because of a lack of religion...)

You will never see that. Jesus is a prophet of Islam and is held in extremely high status; he is a little "special" because of his virgin birth, and that God will send him on the last of days to take down Al-Dajal (in engish translated as anti-christ).

Then again they would never draw pictures of Jesus anyways.

People in the middle east are too stupid to know that...
