Please Need help with keyboard

ok can somebody please help me. My keyboard is acting all messed up. when I type "o" I get a 2 right after it and when I press "1" I get the [ before it. also if I hold shift and press "1" or "o" it does nothing. does this sound like a short to you guys?

Could it possibly be a short in the keyboard? I just switched to my old keyboard and this one works just fine. The one that is having issues is a Logitech G105 and is only a few weeks old.

What makes me think its a short is its only four keys:

When I press "o" or "2" on the num-pad it presses them both so I get "2o"

And when I press "1" or "[" it presses them both so I get "[1"

I just ran a virus and malware scan, cleaned and restarted my computer. The G105 still does the same thing, but when I hook up my old crappy emachines keyboard everything works fine.

What do you guys think? Think I should go exchange the G105 or is it not the keyboard?

Yeah, it's probably wreaked electrically. I know of someone who spilled a drink on his laptop keyboard. Evidently, the signals the keyboard sent were wonky, with some keys "thinking" they are being pressed down constantly while others were non-responsive.

That sucks, I just got this keyboard and have never spilled anything on it or anything, its only a couple weeks old. Maybe ill exchange it for a razor lol.
 
If the system works properly on the old keyboard, the new one is probably a dud. Have you tried to reinstall the driver (I'm assuming it uses the Logitech gaming software, which is a download), or resetting the keyboard configuration to defaults to see if something is programmed incorrectly?

Yea that's the first thing I did was reinstall the driver andade sure the setting weren't screwy. But it started working fine and them acted up again a little later and is now working fine again. I'm so confused on if I Should keep it or exchange it since micro center is 45min away and I don't get home from work that early.

Just call up Logitech, they'll replace it for you.
 
Sounds like an electromechanical problem to me. The problem keys are probably shorting traces nearby the correct one.
