Please move the General Hardware link in the sidebar to the top of Hardware and Technology

we want people to have to look for it ...

actually we want people to look at all the other categories and find what they want first ... that's part of why its at the bottom.

This is not an effective deterrent. It's also a hassle for people who want to browse only the General Hardware forum.

Maybe put Computer Help towards the top too seeing as people post their help threads in general hardware still.

What kind of posts would you expect people to appropriately place in General Hardware?

Clearly the "Motherboards" category is for discussions about Motherboards. But how would you define "General Hardware"? Does it really mean "Other Hardware [that didn't fit in the other categories]"?

To me, "Other Hardware" is a good name for a catch-all at the bottom of the list, meant for posts that didn't fit in any of the specific categories. "General Hardware" sounds too welcoming and prominent to be pushed to the end of the list.
