when you can't get over that speed bump. that's when you know it's too low, you know?

i'm 100% worried I might not be able to get out of my driveway. It's a pretty steep hill with a decent peak at the top.

Also, to get it off the jack I had to lower the tire onto stacked up boards, then drive it off the boards. (my jack wouldn't go down all the way..) i'd say it's maybe 5 inches or so off the ground. But, the way the body is designed it doesn't look that low

I would say it isn't too low. To someone, they may say it is too high but to me it is ok and at least don't have that ricey look.

Yep, definitely too slow.

wow how constructive. Sucks I swapped in my oem engine, as I would have ripped your p.o.s. unreliable cobra a new one.. as I had done to many before.

Well, it was intended as a joke, but it wasn't nearly as funny as your comment about the engine you used to have. That's even worse than "it's got a cold air kit and a catback right now, but next week I'm getting a Greddy Turbo kit and a H22 swap, yo!"

You were bored of having a fast car, so you felt like swapping the stock engine back in for the hell of it, huh?

more like I'm planning on selling it; and will get more for a stock car than I will for any type of modified one. I got an excellent deal on selling my old engine, and on the new one...

so yeah.. something like that.

If your comment was a joke; then sorry for the retaliation... but it didn't appear to be anything but serious.

The front nearside seems to be lower than the offside in the front-on pic. I have the same problem with my car, that the suspension's settled over time, but I'm wondering if, when you had it lowered, they mucked up the measurement for the nearside shock?

If you're putting it back to stock to sell it, why does it matter how low it is, surely you're putting the stock springs back in it, right?

Yes; but right now I'm also going to be selling the suspension as a kit, with the coilover's already set to an "optimal" height.

I think it's the camera angle. I installed everything myself, and measured everything (chassis to ground) and it's level from left-right.

What engine did you have in it before ? And no, I dont think its too low, but bigger rims would fill it out nicer I think, but its hard to tell because of the quality of the pics.

he had a sr20det in it before

it looks fine its at a good height I agree some larger wheels would fill out the gaps. Your car is stick right. My sister had her car "slammed" back in the day and it was a auto she cracked 2 transmissions before she got it in her head that her car was too low.

Naw its not too low at all. Now mines low! Dropped it about 2 1/2 in and have to take speed bumps at a 35 degree angle.

I never understood putting sr20dets in 200sx se-rs..... they come with the SR20de, dont they ? Why not just turbo it ? Thats what I was thinking of doing after I sell my car, but I have a lot of research and thinking to do.

Optimal for what? You can't do that, the whole idea of coilovers is that they are adjustable so everybody can use whatever ride height they want. I'd probably have it a little bit lower whereas my boy racer friend might slam it as low as it will go, so there is no optimum.

arg wtf

When I started my car the battery and brake light were stuck on... then would intermittently go off.. then back on. Finally they stayed off. I'm assuming my alt is on it's way out.

On another note; it's not that low at all. I'm fine for speedbumps and whatnot; and it doesn't look nearly as low in the daytime.

You ever get stuck? Saw one way back in high school ... all the passengers had to get out and press on the front... L'dMAO
