I'll follow the bling anywhere. 1, 2, 3, are generally true btw.

That's odd, 95% of the computer science students here use windows. Maybe you meant to direct your anger at linux users and not CS students?

Not if everything is up to date, and you can run winxp on a p100 no problem. It's just slow and you might not have all the drivers, as it is older hardware. Percentage of viruses for linux is higher too.

The best way to start a flame war is to say "I'm not trying to start a flame war..."

And it's zealots you're talking about, not CS students.

What's the point of running winXP if you can't use the computer due to slowness and not having the correct drivers?

Linux will definately run better on slower machines. That's only because you can run a release like Gentoo which is so minimal that the little CPU power the computer has can be devoted to doing what you please, not what the OS needs.

What makes you think Linux has even close to as many viruses as Windows?

Get educated?

BWAHAHAHAH!

When a company has to resort to automatically blocking attachments because it can't build a secure email program, it tends to hurt any sort of futile argument you are trying to present.

That's an option for people who don't know anything. MS didn't add it until beta testers asked for it.
